Stop the attack on educators. Vote no on SB 1014!

Depending on the county, educators might have more than 100 items they can have deducted from their payroll. From health insurance to United Way donations to gym memberships, educators are given the freedom to choose what to have deducted from their paycheck. Bill 1014 removes that freedom for union membership only. Our legislators should be in the business of ensuring and expanding freedom, not limiting it.

Click the link above to find out more and how to send a message to the members of the Senate Rules Committee to reject this bill.

In other Florida State News
Democratic leaders in Florida are calling for newly elected Republican state Sen. Frank Artiles to resign and for officials to hold a special election after it was revealed that the state’s most closely contested district was very likely swayed by a “sham” candidate bankrolled by a former GOP lawmaker. Artiles was charged last week with several felonies for allegedly recruiting a former lobbyist and longtime friend, Alex Rodriguez, to run as a third-party candidate in last year’s District 37 Senate race. For the full story, visit Law and Crime.
